Privacy Policy

Scentyo ("we", "our") provides an application to track, organize and discover your perfume collection. This page describes the data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

1. Data we collect

• Account — email address, name, and password (stored encrypted) when you sign up the standard way.
• Google sign-in — if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google identifier, email address, its verification status, and your name, via OAuth 2.0. We never receive your Google password.
• Collection data — the perfumes you add, your samples, your wishlist, your test notes, and your fragrance preferences.
• Collection import — if you use the import feature (e.g. from Fragrantica), the imported data is data you provide yourself; we do not collect data about third parties.
• Billing — if you subscribe to the paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. Scentyo never stores your card number; we only keep the subscription identifier needed to manage your account.
• Waitlist — if you sign up for our waitlist, we keep the email address provided and its associated language.
• Technical session — a strictly necessary session cookie is used for authentication. There is no advertising cookie or third-party analytics tracker on Scentyo.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• create and secure your account, and authenticate you;
• operate the application's features (collection, samples, wishlist, recommendations);
• manage your subscription and billing, where applicable;
• contact you about your account or, if you consented, about the app's launch.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

3. Sharing with third parties

We share data with a small number of providers, only to the extent necessary to operate the service:

• Google (OAuth authentication) — used only to verify your identity when signing in.
• Stripe (payment) — used to process subscription payments securely.
• Hosting provider — to host the application and its database.

Scentyo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, and port your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at scentyo.team@gmail.com.

6. Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is restricted to the functions strictly necessary for operating the service.
